Employee Engagement is driven by human experience – by emotions.  Good experiences create engagement. Bad experiences create stress and disengagement.

But engagement isn’t just about feeling good. Different emotions, different mindsets, imply different flavours of engagement that impact performance in different ways.

Effective engagement involves both changing the context and changing minds.

Why doesn’t change management work?

There is little evidence that, despite billions of survey responses and probably as many pounds spent, the needle is moving on employee engagement.

It’s not the survey, but the action that it creates that counts. Proprietary surveys are limited, prescriptive, and designed to benchmark you rather than help you find out what’s important and take action.

This is why we start with a qualitative approach to identify potential issues before measuring them.

It’s also why we believe in enabling your managers to drive engagement every day, rather than grand gestures.
